Benefits Explained
How Exactly Your Membership Level Works
Each level of membership comes with its own set of benefits.

Below, we have elaborated on each one to give full details and any terms that may be associated with each benefit.

They are not transferable and apply only to the named member with an active subscription.

Hotline advice can be extended to include advice on family members provided it is the member themself who contacts us and the family member is actively (within 12 months of being seen) registered to either of our practices. Advice cannot be given in regard to patients who have not been seen by us as patients or who are time expired. This is for medico-legal reasons.

How It Works

Once you’ve completed your initial dental examination with us, you can choose the membership level that best suits your needs (Bronze, Silver or Gold). Our friendly team can guide you through the simple sign-up process—either in practice or over the phone.

Membership is entirely optional and can be used alongside our standard pay-as-you-go services—but it offers extra value and convenience for those who want to take a proactive approach to their oral health.
Dental Examinations & Dental Hygiene Visits

All of our memberships include routine dental examinations and standard scale and polish treatments—essential care to help maintain your oral health.

If you’ve been with us for a while, you’ll already know the level of care we provide during these appointments: thorough, unhurried, and focused on your wellbeing. This high standard will continue as part of your ongoing dental care.
You can choose to have these services carried out either separately or during the same visit, depending on your preference. Should you need any additional check-ups or gum treatments, these can be arranged on a ‘pay as you go’ basis according to our standard fees.

Routine Screening X-Rays

Available with Silver membership and above, this includes routine 'bitewing' x-rays to check for decay between teeth—typically taken every 2–3 years for adults with most or all natural teeth.

It also covers one emergency x-ray per course of treatment to diagnose specific issues like abscesses or other dental concerns. Any additional x-rays are charged at our standard ‘pay as you go’ rates.

Panoramic x-rays (OPT) are included only with Gold membership.
Emergency Out-of-Hours Dental Hotline
Available as part of your membership, this benefit gives you access to a dedicated emergency dental hotline for urgent advice outside of normal practice hours.

You will be provided with a confidential contact number—this number is strictly for your personal use and should be used only in the event of a genuine dental emergency. Please do not share this number with anyone else.*

The hotline connects you directly to a member of staff who can guide on urgent dental issues when the practice is closed. It is not active during normal opening hours, and cannot be used to book or cancel appointments.

If a staff member is not immediately available when you call, please leave a clear message stating:

-
The patient's full name
-
A brief description of the issue
-
A contact number (repeat it for clarity)
The dentist will return your call as soon as possible—typically within an hour—unless exceptional circumstances apply.

*The hotline number will be issued upon activation of your membership. Inappropriate use may result in this benefit being withdrawn without refund.
Emergency Call-Outs
If you require urgent dental care outside of normal working hours—including weekends and public holidays—most practices, including ours, apply a standard call-out fee of £90, plus the cost of any treatment provided.

For Silver and Gold members, this call-out fee is included in your membership.

This benefit is non-transferable and applies only to the named member. It covers genuine dental emergencies that cannot reasonably wait until the next working day.

Examples of qualifying dental emergencies include:

-
Uncontrolled dental bleeding
Bleeding that does not stop after applying firm pressure for 10 minutes. This may require stitches and often occurs after tooth extraction, especially when complicated by infection, alcohol, aspirin, or certain medications.
-
Rapidly spreading infection or swelling
Swelling of the lip, tongue, or cheek that increases quickly and may obstruct breathing. This requires urgent attention to prevent serious complications.
-
Dental or jaw trauma
Injuries from accidents (e.g., falls, blows to the face) that cause visible damage to the teeth or jaw, affect how the teeth meet, limit jaw movement, or result in significant pain or internal swelling.
Please note: This benefit does not cover:

-
Repair, replacement, or re-cementing of crowns, bridges, veneers, or dentures
-
Permanent replacement of lost fillings (temporary materials may be used)
-
The cost of any treatment provided, unless you are a Gold member and the issue is deemed trauma-related

Discounted Fillings (Silver and Gold Members Only)
As part of our commitment to supporting your ongoing dental health, Silver and Gold members receive discounted rates on fillings.

For clarity, fillings (also known as direct dental restorations) refer to treatments that repair a tooth directly—typically after damage caused by decay or fracture. This benefit does not include:

-
Indirect restorations such as crowns, bridges, veneers, or inlays
-
Root canal treatments
The discount applies to all filling materials used. While legally permitted, materials containing mercury (e.g., traditional amalgam) are very rarely used at our practice. Unless there is a specific clinical reason to do otherwise, we use mercury-free, non-toxic, white composite materials that are both safe and environmentally friendly.
This reflects our modern approach to dentistry—prioritising both patient wellbeing and environmental responsibility.
Our Experience
Many of our dentists have additional qualifications above that of a general practitioner allowing a wide range of advanced treatments. Things like Dental Implants, Orthodontics and advanced Restorative Dentistry are all carried out within the practice.
